Intuition and Positivity

Follow your intuition. Focus on the positive. I have heard these phrases so often throughout my life, but only recently am I really understanding them. It’s funny how little quotes and sayings just sound so good, but then at some point in your life they actually become relevant and make complete sense. The simplicity in these two phrases in particular is revealing themselves to me lately. Seems like when life gets over-complicated, then you see how simple life can actually be.

As a kid I had strong intuition about situations, people, etc. It’s only been in the past few years though that I have really tried to tune in to that even deeper. I am really trying to not dismiss, belittle or ignore what I now recognize as my intuition. A lot of times I have just brushed off whatever I was feeling and swept it under the rug, rather than acknowledge that this is my instinct telling me what I really need to hear and feel in this moment.

Growing up I could enter a room or some situation or be around a person and get what I call a creepy vibe. I knew then to remove myself from whatever was projecting that onto me and I would immediately feel better. As I got a little older I started to ignore those feelings, and I probably could have saved myself some not-so-great experiences by listening to my gut, but I now realize it is a learning process. I still struggle with understanding intuition and harnessing it, but the more I focus, it becomes more distinguishable even in small decisions in my life, as well as big ones. And when I acknowledge those feelings and go with them, I feel so much better about the outcome of every situation. Sometimes I still need outside validation, especially for big decisions. And I research all the time about things that show up in my path, but when it comes down to it, typically my intuition and first instinct was exactly spot on! From big medical and health decisions to small everyday decisions, I am learning more and more that I know what is best. Deep down inside of me, I have the knowledge ingrained to make the best choice. It is actually pretty empowering to come to this realization!

Once you recognize your intuition and actually follow it, it is so liberating! Not getting caught up in what you think you’re supposed to do, the person you think you’re supposed to be, all of these supposed-to‘s in life, and learning to accept your current circumstances and appreciate everything you have right now, is so uplifting, freeing, lightening. My husband and I tell each other all the time, “I love our situation.” (No matter what is going on, reminding ourselves and checking in with each other, always brings us back to appreciating what we have.)

For me these two concepts, listening to my intuition and focusing on the positives in my life, have really been key aspects in finding happiness. When you listen to your intuition you naturally put yourself in more positive situations, and by surrounding yourself with positive energy that’s exactly what you attract as well. Then you start expecting these good things to happen, and guess what, THEY DO! This is one of my mantras that I am understanding even more as life unfolds: Expect Good Things. I am so enjoying the journey of intuition and positivity.

Focus in and learn to acknowledge when your intuition is calling, and follow it. Focus on all the positive things in your life, even when situations seem really tough. Put out all the positive vibes you can in every aspect of your life and watch what all comes back to you. Greatness is just around the corner my friend! Harness that intuition, put out those good vibes, and enjoy the amazing manifestations!
